President Washington was right.

President Washington was right.

I was reading Washington's Farewell address today and was struck by the following quote: "And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion." The steady increase in school violence is just one more reason we should reconsider President Washington's parting advice.

Excuse me, but the fact is that atheists are vastly underrepresented in prison populations. In other words, there are fewer crimes committed per person in the atheist population than in the Christian population (which is not overrepresented, but 'normally' represented).

How do you explain this evidence that directly contradicts your clear implication that morality depends on religiosity?

Or will you ignore me like you have been doing thus far?
