I too was distressed by this mans speach. And yeah, it did make me pause to think about Obama as a legitimate candidate. But thinking about what is said in that speech, much of Black America thinks that way. Their pastors just serve up the fiery rhetoric they want to hear. I hope like heck this doesn't sound racist because I feel we are all equals in the eyes of God. But I am saying this only from simple observation. I ride the bus into Newark quite frequently and I am shocked at some of the subjects I hear being discussed by African Americans. I have heard everything from AIDS was intentionally unleashed to decrease the black population, the CIA sold crack in the 80's. All sorts of concpiritorial subjects are discussed as if they were fact. This is the real problem. That so many people believe such things, and yet if we are to question them on these beliefs were are usually chastised as being "just another uninformed white man". Anyway, I don't think I will let it affect my judgement of Obama as a candidate.
